Day 1: We will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in downtown Whitehorse. The hotel is located within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. We will have an informational meeting and registration for optional tours at the hotel. Take your time for fitting the winter clothing (optional), shopping and dinner on your own. At 10pm departure for Aurora viewing. A cozy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks makes your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to hotel around 2.30am.
Day 2: Sleep in in the morning 10.00 am city tour with Main Street, Train Depot of the White Pass and Yukon Route, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, Sternwheeler SS Klondike, Fish Ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. We will pick you up at 1pm at your downtown hotel and drive you out to the Southern Lakes Resort.
You will arrive at the resort at approximately 2.30pm. Time to relax. Enjoy the majestic lake and mountain scenery – either right from your cabin or during a walk along the shoreline. A 3-course dinner with coffee & tea & soft drinks will await you at 6.30pm (please let us know any dietary needs at time of booking). In the evening, you can view the Aurora Borealis at your own leisure – either from your cabin, your deck or right at the lake.
Day 3: Breakfast will be available between 8am and 10am – continental deluxe. During the day you have the possibility to pre-book activities, such as dog sledding or simply rent a pair of snowshoes for a stroll along the lake trails. Snacks are provided in the afternoon. At 6.30pm you will meet in the main lodge for your 3-course dinner. Again, in the evening you can view the Northern Lights at your own leisure.
Day 4: Breakfast will be available between 8am and 10am – continental deluxe. During the day you have the possibility to pre-book activities, such as dog sledding or simply rent a pair of snowshoes for a stroll along the lake trails. Snacks are provided in the afternoon. At 6.30pm you will meet in the main lodge for your 3-course dinner. Again, in the evening you can view the Northern Lights at your own leisure.
Day 5: Breakfast will be available between 8am and 10am – continental deluxe. Check out by 11am, when we will transfer you to your downtown hotel.At 10pm we will depart for another night of Aurora viewing at the Northern Tales Trading Post. Return to hotel around 2.30am.
Day 6 Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
